Belarus is facing an extremely serious political crisis. Everyone in the country, regardless of political preferences, feels its deleterious effect. The government has no legitimacy, fundamental human rights are violated, more than half a million of our citizens are forced to emigrate, the Belarusian statehood is being destroyed, the quality of life of the population is deteriorating.
In the current situation in Belarus there is no possibility to have an open and public discussion about the ways of the country’s development and about the solution of the problems the citizens are worried about.
Solving the problems the country is facing can only be done by us, the citizens of Belarus. Among us there are supporters and opponents of radical changes, supporters of gradual transformation, ideologists and proponents of penal methods against dissenters. We are all united by Belarus, but each of us has his own.
We, the representatives of various political forces, public and religious organizations, can together work out a plan of priority actions to overcome the crisis.
The Democracy Forces Forum is a public platform for the search for ideas and the development of proposals for the resolution of problematic topics. The agenda of this event is open to be filled with meaningful proposals and topics.
