Our sincere congratulations to the Social Democrats and the entire centre-left coalition. We are delighted with this convincing victory. The people of Lithuania have given the Social Democrats confidence at this difficult time in history. The slogans of Social Democracy, “Freedom, Justice, Solidarity”, were again in demand.

We hope that Lithuania will once again become the Lithuania we all know and respect – democratic, European, respecting and defending human rights, and listening to the views of its voters.

We wish the new Government to justify the trust of the people and to work successfully for the benefit of the Lithuanian society as a whole.
