On July 24, an action of solidarity with human rights defender Olga Karach took place in Munich, organised by the German branch of WILPF and the German pacifist organisation Die DFG-VK.
The participants of the solidarity action picketed the Belarusian consulate in Munich.
In particular, they stood with placards “Freedom to Olga Karach” and demanded the cancellation of the severe sentence of the human rights defender in front of the Belarusian consulate.
Recall that in July 2024, human rights defender Olga Karach received 12 years in prison in absentia in Belarus and a 170,000 euro fine for “attempted coup d’état to seize state power by unconstitutional means”.
