On August 4, 2024 on the eve of the anniversary of the first (and hopefully the last) combat use of nuclear weapons, the organisations Our House and Dapamoga held a protest action in Vilnius against the proliferation of nuclear weapons in Belarus.
It is impossible to hold such an action in Belarus itself now, if we do not want to increase the number of political prisoners in the country.
People wanted to emphasise with their protest that they were against the deployment of any nuclear weapons, both tactical and strategic, in Belarus, and especially against the fact that any nuclear weapons could be controlled by the Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenka.
