Belarusian railway employees joined the peaceful protest actions (protests unfolded on the whole territory of Belarus starting from the day of presidential elections on August 9, 2020, right after the polling stations were closed and the preliminary voting results were announced).
On August 13, 2020, the Belarusian Railway employees came out to the Railway Cultural Centre in Minsk to protest against violence.
In 2022, thanks to the “railway partisans”, the transport of Russian equipment through Belarus to Ukraine was significantly slowed down. On April 27, 2022, the so-called parliament in Belarus voted for the death penalty for the “railway partisans”.
