In March, we talked about the riots in Pinsk during the night, August 9-10. Since then, a criminal case has been conducted on what happened in the district centre. On April 30, the verdict in the case of mass riots in Pinsk in August 2020 announced in the Moscow district court of Brest.

The court considered the guilt of all 14 persons involved in the criminal case of “riots” proven and appointed:

▪ 36-year-old Roman Bognavets sentenced to 6 years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 20-year-old Bognat Daniil sentenced to 6 years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 31-year-old Gunko Grigory got six years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 28-year-old Sergey Lezhenko got six years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 43-year-old Mikhailov Stanislav sentenced to 6 years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 44-year-old Movshuk Elena sentenced to 6.5 years in a general regime penal colony;

▪ 42-year-old Sergey Movshuk got 6.5 years in a high-security penal colony (he was under house arrest, taken into custody after the court);

▪ 20-year-old David Mastsitski sentenced to 5.5 years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 35-year-old Vyacheslav Rogashchuk sentenced to 6 years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 19-year-old Oleg Rubets got 5.5 years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 37-year-old Solovey Igor got six years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 35-year-old Alexander Tereshko got 6.5 years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 32-year-old Artem Halimonchik sentenced to 6 years in a high-security penal colony;

▪ 20-year-old Vyacheslav Shelemet sentenced to 5.5 years in a high-security penal colony.

Sergei Movshuk, the only defendant under house arrest before the verdict was announced, was taken into custody in the courtroom.

The court ordered the accused to give about 24 thousand rubles of compensation for material damage to organizations and enterprises. Almost 19 thousand they should pay in favour of the police. The court required convicted people to pay compensation of 150 thousand rubles to 93 victims.
