This past Sunday, Our House received a truckload of humanitarian aid organized by its German partners, IGFM-Wittlich. It’s now been nearly four years since Our House began supplying Belarusian diasporas in Lithuania and Poland with humanitarian aid. This initiative started after the revolutionary events in Belarus in 2020, when many Belarusians fled the regime’s persecution to Lithuania. In December 2020, following a call by Olga Karach to Western organizations, the first aid shipment arrived from Bremen.

Initially measured in hundreds of kilograms, the volume increased to tons by the spring of 2021 and has since grown to tens of tons.

The total volume of humanitarian aid brought, unloaded, sorted, and distributed is currently estimated at several hundred tons.

We have outlined how and why we do this work. If you believe we are doing a good job, you can also contribute towards our warehouse rent and fuel for delivering aid to those in need.

For example, right here

Since winter 2022, after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we have also been helping Ukrainian refugees.

Our main partners in this effort are the IGFM-Wittlich organization. This time, they sent not only clothing, dishes, children’s toys, and furniture but also food and hygiene items.

We received assistance from the Rotary Club Cochem Zell, Mr. Reimer Blank personally, and the IGFM-Wittlich organization.

We would also like to thank everyone who volunteered to help clean the warehouse two weeks ago during the cleanup event, as well as those who helped unload the truck this past Sunday.

Now we are once again welcoming all those who wish to visit and those in need.

Thank you very much for the mattress! In the photo, you can see that Konstantin is happy.
